Hollard backs future female leaders with Aspire leadership program

03 Jun 2025

Hollard Insurance has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering women in leadership in the insurance broking industry by offering its acclaimed Aspire Women Leaders Program for a third intake.

Launched in 2021 together with Steadfast Group and supported by the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM), Aspire has become a flagship development initiative for women in the broking sector. The 12-month program delivers high-impact leadership training focused on executive development, technical capabilities, and strategic business acumen, alongside the opportunity to learn from experienced mentors and network with like-minded future business leaders. Graduates earn credits toward an AGSM Executive MBA.

Chief Commercial Officer Suzi Leung said, “At Hollard, we know that diverse teams make better decisions and drive stronger outcomes. Our continued support for Aspire reflects our deep commitment to building a more inclusive insurance sector and investing in the next generation of female leaders.”

Steadfast Group Founder, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Robert Kelly AM said, “We are very proud to support the Aspire program, for the third time, and the professional development of women in the insurance broking industry, and we’re seeing new leaders emerge as a result of this participation.”

Aspire is tailored for aspiring leaders in the broking industry and is distinguished by its emphasis on peer collaboration and industry-relevant dialogue. Hollard is inviting applications from female Steadfast insurance brokers, with applications closing on Thursday 31 July 2025.

Rhiannon Toohey, Head of Subsidiary Performance at Steadfast Group and a recent Aspire graduate said her desire to build experience and leadership skills led her to apply for the program in 2023. “I really wanted to transition into leading a team and leading businesses, and so I thought what better place to do it than with a group of experienced women in the insurance industry. It would have absolutely been a missed opportunity if I hadn’t applied – it's the best course females in the insurance industry looking to accelerate their career could do.”
